Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission is a requirement under the Pennsylvania Borough Code for boroughs who have a paid police or paid fire force. The Borough of Lehighton has a full-time police department in which the Civil Service Commission handles various employment processes. The Commission consists of three commissioners who are residents of the Borough.
